 About the Client

Our client is is an International Property Landlord and specialist Manager of Real Estate in Australia, with a team of seasoned property professionals who have a proven track record of active management and successful repositioning of a variety of asset types.  

They are seeking an ASSET MANAGER for their Industrial portfolio - managing about 10 to 12 assets.  

Some of the duties in this role include:
  • Creating or assisting in the setting and implementation of asset strategies to optimise investment performance, including asset and divestment plans compatible with the company strategy
  • A clear focus on investment performance by targeting income and capital growth opportunities through leasing, valuation, development/repositioning or sales processes in line with agreed strategic objectives
  • Assessing risk and return of proposals and presenting recommendations to the Head of Industrial, Property senior management or mother company as required
  • Clear communication of objectives to stakeholders
  • Preparing annual budgets in conjunction with external property managers, company Finance, analysts and Blackstone, as required
  • Tracking NOI and capex budgets against actual to determine progress on targeted returns
  • Setting leasing strategies and driving negotiations in conjunction with leasing agents with the National Leasing Manager
  • Briefing Valuers, supplying and checking the accuracy of property
    information and reviewing draft valuations

To be considered for this role you will ideally possess the following;

  • A Bachelor Degree with emphasis in property or related discipline
  • Experience in a similar role (MUST)
  • 5+ years proven experience in commercial real estate
  • Leadership skills and the ability to manage a team of property specialists
  • Range of property skills and an understanding of property investment processes including experience gained in at least one of the fields of leasing, property/asset management, valuation or development
  • Possess a high financial aptitude, commercial acumen and ability to analyse financial data from budgets, business plans and valuations
  • Strong leasing and negotiation skills
  • Strong market network
  • Self-motivated and able to work in an autonomous environment
