We are recruiting exclusively for DXC Technology for a UX/CX Designer to join on a permanent basis as part of the team in Canberra to work on-site federal clients.

The Role: 

We are looking for a UX/CX Designer to join as part of the Canberra team to work with federal government clients to design/redesign software and platforms that meet people’s needs. You will combine interfaces and workflows to enhance user/customer experiences that match our government client's needs. Ultimately ensuring that the government products become more user-friendly and intuitive to attract and retain users.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Understand product specifications and user psychology
  • Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback
  • Create personas through user research and data
  • Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success
  • Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs
  • Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
  • Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers
  • Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends

 Role Requirements:

  • Australian Citizenship - due to the security clearance requirements. Baseline or above security clearance highly regarded, but ability to obtain clearance is essential. 
  • Previous experience working as a UX/CX Designer is essential. 
  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
  • Proficient in design software (e.g. UXPin, Balsamiq etc.)
  • Ability to implement Agile methodologies, Human Centered Design methodologies, and User Experience practices.
  • Experience developing interactive, hi-fidelity prototypes.
