Our client a leading Trailer and Truck Specialist located in the Geelong Nth region is seeking a Qualified Diesel Mechanic with heavy vehicle experience to join their team.

This role will start as ongoing casual with view of a permanent position for the right candidate.

Hours of work are:

• Afternoon shift 3:00pm - 1:00am ( 4 days p/wk Mon-Thurs )
• 10 hour shifts
• Rostered Saturday ( 1 p/mth)

Candidates MUST be receptive to working overtime.

Responsibilities in this role will include but not be limited to the following:

• routine servicing, major & minor repairs to the fleet, which consists of trucks ranging from small rigids to prime movers and trailers.

To be considered the following are a MUST:

• Be a self starter & highly motivated
• Qualified Diesel Mechanic
• Heavy vehicle servicing experience
• Heavy vehicle brake experience
• Retail workshop experience
• Own basic tool set
• Own transport
• Own steel capped safety boots
• Minimum of 2 checkable references
• Available to start ASAP

The following would be an advantage but are not essential:

• Previous fleet maintenance experience
• Truck licence ( HR+ )
• Forklift licence
