COMPANY
Our client is one of the leading packaging machinery companies committed to servicing the fast growing needs of Australian Companies for quality packaging equipment and solutions to packaging problems. The company designs, manufactures and installs a total packaging system for their clients and represents many internationally recognised manufacturers of packaging machinery and associated equipment. With presence across various states, they are currently looking for a highly driven sales engineer to join the Melbourne office in an effort to grow their Victorian sales team. Operating on the fundamental principles to help their clients in achieving leadership status in their chosen field, you will find yourself working in an environment that values effectiveness and a high level of communication.

POSITION
As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing new business and providing solutions to clients in ways that could enhance their businesses. You will be selling predominantly to pharmaceutical manufacturers such as GSK and Schering Plough, machines or rather solutions to their total packaging systems. In the first 6 months, your main responsibility will be focused towards learning the company’s products and equipments and managing existing key account, before actively involved in new business development.

THE CANDIDATE
To be successful in this position you must be familiar with food and pharmaceutical equipment. You must have at least 3 years of experience in B2B sales, and whilst sales experience from a similar industry is preferred, candidates with a proven track record in sales will also be considered. You will have good presentation and communication skills and you must be highly professional with a consultative element. With good business acumen, you must be comfortable dealing with senior management levels and able to foster relationships with key clients and identify their needs in improving their overall packaging operations.
