Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager for Exhibitions & Events, you will work as part of an event sales team selling space for upcoming trade shows and expos. Working directly with the member base of this industry association, you will be tasked with hunting for new sales and converting leads and enquiries into revenue. Based out of the Brisbane office, this position will require you to qualify both cold and warm leads, while taking a strategic approach to ensure the maximum return on the time you invest. Ultimately your role as part of the sales team will be to ensure the success of the organisations events, by attracting a strong brands and repeat clients.

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role you will be a driven sales hunter that understands how to bypass gate keepers, demonstrate value and ultimately close the deal. You will use your strong communication skills to offer your client's the right solution and be comfortable in negotiating with senior level individuals. Some of the requisite skills include:

  • Previous experience in a direct sales or business development role
  • Excellent presentation
  • Strong communication & negotiation skills
  • Resilience & tenacity
  • Ability to generate and convert leads to sales
  • Understanding of the importance of closing
  • Exposure to the exhibition industry will be highly regarded, but is not essential
