Quality Assurance

Quality assurance is the activity of providing evidence that quality-related activities are being performed effectively.
Employees provide fact-based external confidence to customers and other stakeholders that a product meets their needs, expectations, and other requirements.
QA covers all activities from design, development, production, installation, servicing to documentation.
It includes the regulation of the quality of raw materials, assemblies, products and components; services related to production; and management, production, and inspection processes.
Quality Assurance officers are required to study product specifications, sample products and make recommendations for improvement.
They are employed in fields ranging from aerospace and electronics to chemicals and pharmaceuticals, among many other industries.
Quality control managers are responsible for the documentation of test results. A manager or statistician will usually prepare the data in the form of a graph or chart.
