Our client is one of the largest leading NASDAQ listed global Telecommunications Managed Services and Outsourcing Solutions providers who due to continued growth and development now require a Regional Chief Security Officer for the Asia Pacific Region.

This position shall be responsible for leading all aspects of Security across the APAC region as well as providing risk & compliance management and managing the relationship with key stakeholders on the APAC Regional Executive Team.

The incumbent will ensure that the APAC regional security risks are managed to the best economic advantage of the company and the mitigations in place are cost effective. In additional the role holder is responsible for managing a strong working relationship with their peers in the Corporate Security organisation and coordinating the implementation of Security services into the region

Responsibilities:

• Be the lead on Security issues across the APAC region, assessing and mitigating risks thereby ensuring that the company fulfils its Corporate and Social responsibility to provide a safe and secure environment
• Formulate Corporate Security strategy in the APAC region to meet business needs and corporate requirements providing professional advice to the APAC Regional Executive Team, (RET) on Security risk management
• Ensure that Corporate Security policies, procedures and guidelines are applied consistently and in accordance with in-country legislation, mitigating liabilities in close collaboration with local CLR personnel
• Ensure that the Security storyboard plays a key role in the winning and retention of external revenue. To represent the company in front of (prospective) customer occasionally at board room level in order to highlight the corporate internal Security capabilities as a key differentiator
• Lead the APAC regional Security resources and coordinate across all of the APAC region to ensure uniformity
• To develop a security management framework to protect people, building, IT assets, information and revenue within the APAC region
• To build excellent working relationships with internal people and partners championing security risk management across the APAC region
• Perform risk assessments when required and provide Corporate Security risk related input to the Corporate Risk Register
• To create a world class Security culture throughout the APAC region with innovative awareness interventions
• To ensure best in class fraud management is deployed on all revenue streams within the APAC region
• To ensure the APAC region has best in class IT security across all its key internal/external systems and networks
• To ensure the effectiveness of both physical and logical access procedures and systems is monitored and to propose/implement improvements within the APAC region
• To ensure investigations are coordinated and remedial action plans put in place following security breaches and failures within the APAC region
• Provide APAC regional support to other Security MDSO's covering the entire group off companies and their subsidiaries
• Manage the In-Life Security Audits covering all Global Sourcing suppliers in APAC across all sites
• Act as the Security SPOC with the Global Sourcing Suppliers which includes issues related to audits, incidents, approvals, and other security activities related to all LoBs operating in the region
• Act as Security Nodal Officer for India ensuring compliance of the Security requirements of the license - including Remote Access of nodes, etc
• Act as the Lawful Interception (LI) Officer for the company in India
• Manage the Data Retention (DR) requirements of the license in Thailand

Requirements:

• At least 12 - 15 years security experience
• 5+ years of security management experience
• Understanding of security technologies, techniques and best practices
• Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with customers and suppliers
• Experience in planning and managing strategic security programmes
• Experience working with law enforcement or government agencies - knowledgeable in regulatory issues relating to security
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
