Our client is one of Papua New Guineas' leading multi-divisional companies and part of one of the country's largest groups of companies. Their manufacturing division incorporates a range of packaged food products and the plastics and bottling divisions supply high quality packaging solutions for a range of products.
 
We are seeking an experienced and hands on Engineering and Maintenance Manager to ensure that production efficiency is maintained across all division of the business.
 
Reporting to the Operations Manager, duties will include:
 
• Preventative maintenance planning and ongoing maintenance for all site plant.
• Managing and motivating a team of 20 employees.
• Completing annual detailed budgets to ensure adequate funding allocation to maintain plant and equipment to a high standard.
• Ensure compliance to company HSSE and Quality management systems.
• Minimising downtime by driving a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ongoing training and appraisals of key employees.
• Maintaining high standards of service to the production team.
 
To be successful in this role, it is important that you be either trade qualified or hold an engineering degree. You must also have extensive manufacturing experience ideally in food, packaging or bottling and be able to manage and motivate a team of local staff.
