- Rubber production workers are specialist polymer products manufacturing workers.
- Rubber production workers , depending on their level of training and experience, operate the machinery, and may supervise and control the processes that manufacture rubber products such as tyres, belts and reinforced hoses.
- Rubber production workers may work in rubber, tyre manufacturing, tyre retreading and belt splicing
- They select appropriate material for task as per specification and set controls and check the production machine before starting.
- They load raw materials and operate machines in accordance with safety requirements
- They mark out patterns from blueprints and cutting sheets and monitor instruments and adjust controls to regulate the speed and temperature of rubber processing machines
- They will sandblast non-rubber surfaces and remove wrinkles and trapped air in rolled products
- They will check the quality of products and take part in quality improvement activities, report defects and carry out minor repairs and keep production records and quality assurance data.
