Architecture

• Architecture is the art and science of designing buildings and structures. A wider definition often includes the design of the total built environment.
• Architectural design involves the manipulation of mass, space, volume, texture, light, shadow, materials, program, and other elements in order to achieve an end which is aesthetic as well as functional.
• A person who prepares the plan and design of a building or other structure and sometimes supervises its construction.

Interior Design

• Interior design is the process of shaping the experience of interior space, through the manipulation of spatial volume as well as surface treatment.
• Designers incorporate the seven elements of design to create and enhance style: form, mass, shape, line, color, texture and pattern.
• The designer's goal is to produce a coordinated and harmonious whole in which the architecture, site, function, and visual aspects of the interior are unified, pleasing to mind and body, and appropriate to the activities to be pursued there.
