The PositionAn opportunity has become available for a Contract Manager/Paralegal to assist the CSIRO Contract Administration team support CSIRO’s research contract activities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of contracts related to CSIRO’s research activities (including some non–standard contracts requiring basic drafting and amending of legal terms)
- Liaising with internal clients to ensure project work programs and deliverables etc are clearly detailed within contracts
- Assist in maintaining our contract database and processing of signed contracts; and
- General contract support including the provision of advice to CSIRO commercial delegates on suitable contract terms and policy compliance.
Location:Clayton, VIC
Salary: $70k - $80k pa + superannuation

To be successful in this position you must have:
- Strong paralegal knowledge, experience and/or qualifications relevant to contract preparation and administration;
- An exceptionally high attention to detail;
- Demonstrated ability to effectively identify and solve problems, make sound judgements and establish priorities; and
- Strong oral and written communication skills and relationship management experience.

We support CSIRO’s external research-related contracting activities with industry, government and the community which relate to our external revenues (over $300 million per annum total).
Emphasis is on developing and implementing policy, practices and systems to deliver to identified best practice standards and agreed service levels to all stakeholders.
