Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot various information technologies security systems in a Linux, Unix, Windows, Networking, Oracle, and SQL Server environment.
Implements information security interfaces in very complex computing systems, applications and network software/hardware; evaluates Internet-wide security threats in relation to local systems.
They communicate potential information security exploits to college technical employees; participates in the evaluation of proposed systems and applications to determine information security or data integrity implications.
They develop and maintain district-wide automated information technology security monitoring and reporting mechanisms; develops and maintains various district-wide information technology network security control systems such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, wireless networks, virtual private networks, and network account access.
They analyse log files, and report breaches including potential solutions; monitor network traffic activity district-wide; assist college technical staff district-wide in troubleshooting and resolving network security issues; performs related duties as assigned.
