My client is one of Hong Kongs fastest growing Network Service providers and they are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to maintain the computer systems with the HP-UX, IBM-AIX, Sun Solaris, Linux and Winders Servers.  They require a Senior Database Administrator with a solid foundation in Oracle Database and Administration, experience in UNIX shell scripts writing and security planning between servers and database.

Responsibilities

• General administration of section
• Management of sections projects and the IT System
• Administration of sections staff
• Maintaining good inter-department communication
• Provide Technical Support and Infrastructure design of the IT System
• Billing servers administration
• Billing databases administration
• System and database documentation
• 2nd line technical support to daily operation of billing

Requirements

• Degree holder in Computer Science or a related field
• 7-10 years solid working experience in database and system administration
• Experience in leading support of 24x7 mission critical environment, tuning system and database, and monitoring mission critical systems
• Solid experience in system security, system capacity/resources planning and disaster recovery
• Experience in working with software developing cycle and requirements
• In-depth knowledge in Oracle 8i, 10g database design and administration
• Sound knowledge in Unix based system, including AIX, HP-UX, Linux
• Valid Certification of Oracle Certified Professional OCP is preferable
• Knowledge in enterprise networking is a plus
• Building server and systems with green environment is an advantage
• Detail-minded, proactive, result driven, independent, and can work under pressure
• Possess strong problem solving skills; ability to define root cause and provide solutions
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
