Our reputable telecommunications client is currently looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Architect to join them on an initial 6 month contract. As the successful candidate your primary role primary role is to produce and prove technical architectures that meet the tactical and strategic needs of business and IT strategy. It is expected you will have extensive hands-on experience with large scale software engineering and data ware housing programs.. Strong Technical Leadership & Negotiation/influencing skills are essential. Essential Skills and Experience - - Large-Scale Datawarehouse E2E Architecture Design Experience
- Completed several large scale Business Intelligence project life-cycles
- Strong Data Analysis and Architect skills
- Strong in data architecture (Data Warehousing, ODS, Data Marts, Staging, Reporting)
- Expertise in two (or more) integration tools (SAS, Abinitio (desired), Informatica, Data Stage, etc.)
- Experience in a (or multiple) OLAP tools (Analysis Services, Cognos, Business Objects, etc.)
- Experience in a (or multiple) Reporting tools (Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, ProClarity, etc.)
- Completed Data Quality concepts such as Master Data Management, Data Governance and Data Stewardship
- Application/database development processes (Very Strong experience in software engineering).
- Understanding of leading technologies in Business Intelligence across the Back End and Front End reporting (Teradata, Abinitio, Oracle, IBM, Cognos, etc.)
- Translate business needs into long-term information architecture solution - Advanced understanding
- Experienced in Enterprise System Design, Development, Optimization and Performance tuning.
- Experienced in Multiple Software languages (eg J2EE/Java, C++, Perl)
- Experienced in Application Server (WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache, Tomcat etc)
- Mentor Architects, Technical Team Leads and Software Engineers in BI-related architectural issues and best practices
