WorkPac is partnering with a state government department to source a a Senior Purchasing Officer to join their team for a contract role based inBrisbane CBD to contribute to their strategic purpose.
The primary purpose of the position is to provide a purchasing service for delivery staff and develop and promote procurement 'best practice' and contract performance across the South East Queensland region. The position will focus on ensuring the services provided meet quality and value for money expectations of clients.
The role includes responsibilities such as:
Communicating procurement strategies and State Purchasing Policy requirements to staff and facilitating changes to traditional procurement practices through training and education programs.
Preparing and calling of tenders for a variety of categories involving construction, maintenance, consulting and upgrade activities, including evaluation and regulatory techniques.
