Responsibilities Include The Senior Project Engineer would be required to direct, coordinate and exercise functional authority for planning, organisation, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility. The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for • Compliance with all relevant health and safety procedure and policies and where applicable the end clients HSE and Environmental policies. • Completing the design of a signalling system in accordance with the industry, Company and client needs • Verifying the designs and data in accordance with the customer and company requirements, including acting as an independent checker of plans, control tables, signalling circuits and application data prepared by others. • Validating the designs and data in accordance with the customer and company requirements, including: Participate and act is Test Assistant for factory acceptance; Testing and/or site testing of systems and equipment; Participate and act as a Verification Tester for Wayside and Power Supply Equipment • Assist in the development of capability and knowledge, in colleagues, by taking a leadership role including: Managing small teams in the capacity of Team Leader; Conducting annual staff performance reviews; Acting as a technical mentor for Graduate or Junior Engineers and/or IRSE Licensing Scheme; Participating in coaching and developing others through activities such as lunchtime training sessions. • The Senior Project Engineer would also be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of the company through new initiatives.
Your Experience To successfully fulfil the role you will need to have Broad engineering knowledge and experience in coordination of complex technical projects in a signalling railway environment. • Engineering degree or equivalent experience in signalling engineering field • Minimum 7 years professional experience in project engineering and management • Strong communication and negotiation skills • Good time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks • Good attention to details
