This is a prime opportunity to join a well established and growing switchboard manufacturing business based at Acacia Ridge. This business is part of a dynamic and successful group of companies that includes electrical and construction contracting organizations. With extensive support from the parent company there is currently a drive to expand and increase the staffing, sales, profitability and capabilities of the switchboard business. A very experienced new Business Manager has recently been appointed and s/he is seeking suitable staff to assist in the realization of strategic goals.

Based at the manufacturing facility in Acacia Ridge and reporting to the Business Manager this position will be integral in the future growth and diversification of the business.

Responsibilities and requirements for the position include:
The ability to produce accurate 3D working drawings using AutoCAD
The ability to convert 2D drawings to 3D
A genuine interest in product improvement and development
The ability to identify issues with existing designs and make necessary modifications
Devising and implementing procedures
An interest in and ability to increase the range of standard switchboards offered
Interest in and ability to draw customised switchboards
Liaising with key sheet metal suppliers, ensuring integrity of supply
The ability to prioritise work load and meet project deadlines
The compulsion to finish what is started and tie up loose ends
Working closely with the Business Manager, Foreman and manufacturing team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
