Our client is a major civil contractor with operations spreading across Australia and the Pacific. They are currently seeking an enthusiastic Environmental Officer to join their Townsville base.

In this role you will be responsible for providing environmental support to regional staff members, conduct Environmental risk assessments, prepare and implement EMP s, and undertake Environmental audits and monitoring.

The ideal candidate will possess;
Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or other relevant disciplines;
Strong communication, liaison and negotiation skills;
Ability to manage multiple tasks and solve on-site problems proactively;
Experience with civil contractors or infrastructure;
Working knowledge of QLD legislation and ISO14001.

The role will involve travel to regional QLD and you will be responsible for training of country teams on Environmental issues.
