Saudi Aramco (the largest integrated oil company in the World) has established a new Power Systems department which has been created to embark on major Power development programmes within Saudi Arabia.
Exclusively on behalf of Saudi Aramco we are seeking registrations of interest from people experienced in the Power industry. Saudi Aramco will be visiting Australia late March and will be meeting with interested applicants.
Minimum Requirements:
- As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized and approved program.
You will have at least 10 years experience with designing and or the design review of power plants, with a minimum of three years of field work experience in operating plants.
- You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of all applicable cogeneration (generator-turbine) industrial standards and specifications and have experience in the energy industry, preferably in fuels, power generation or utility industry preferred.
- Knowledge of solar thermal integration is also preferred
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Evaluate heat recovery steam generator and turbine control system (TCS) specifications.
- Assess cogeneration response at various scenarios of the cogeneration operation.
- Recognize acceptable mechanical and electrical constants such inertia and damping constants, as required by various modeling applications.
- Analyze real time digital simulations of the overall dynamic power system studies, integrated with individual TCS models.
- Develop applicable procedures and programs associated with cogeneration testing, repair, operation and maintenance.
- Support the investigation and troubleshooting of cogeneration disturbance and failure, including performing root cause failure analysis.
- Conduct economic studies of plants, including heat recovery optimization analysis and calculate steam and power cost indices for cogeneration.
- Prepare cogeneration reliability and trend analysis reports and statistics.
- Participate in the deployment of innovative cogeneration technology applications
