Come join a team of experienced council planners who pride themselves on delivering exceptional customer service throughout the full cycle of the planning application process. This department is actively searching for a career driven, highly motivated and enthusiastic planner who has had circa 6 to 8 years' experience ideally in the local market as a Town Planner.

The position is responsible for project managing the processing of a variety of complex and sensitive planning applications in a timely and proficient manner. You will take a lead role in liaising with various stakeholders including developers and consultants, State Government, various service authorities, ratepayers and the general public etc. about planning matters. You will be tasked in assisting the two levels of management in supervising, training, and development of less experienced staff where necessary. 

The successful Town Planner will have:

• A degree in Town Planning and/or have circa 6 to 8 years' experience working within the Victorian local market.
• Sound knowledge of the Victorian Planning and Environment Act, and related regulation, standards and codes.
• Proven success in project managing various large scale planning and subdivision applications and related inquiries. 
• The confidence and experience in representing council at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
• Pure motivation and enthusiasm in developing their career and making a difference within a municipality.
• A high level of customer service success and focus in their work.
