In this role you will be responsible for:

• Make outbound calls to customers to advise on outstanding payments
• Work with customers in an empathetic and professional manner to agree a timely payment solution for their account
• Ensure that internal systems are updated and maintained to reflect your customer interactions
• Work to reasonable weekly KPI's measuring call volumes and talk time
• Instruct solicitors and external parties in the execution of company matters relating to mortgages

To be successful you will need to have:

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a professional phone manner
• Minimum 2 years Collections experience working in Banking and Finance industry or equivalent
• Thorough knowledge of Collections/Recoveries statutes especially Consumer Credit Code & Privacy Act
• The ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent negotiation skills and setting payment plans
• Excellent problem-solving and facilitation skills
• Keen eye for detail and analytical thinking
• Team player with willingness to learn and a positive, pro active attitude

This is not a traditional collections role but is a combination of arrears management and relationship management. The successful applicant will have ongoing opportunities for personal growth and career development.
