The Role:
In your role as GM, you will utilise your highly developed analytical and managerial skills to formulate a comprehensive strategy for growing and unifying the business. You will seek to implement better ways of working and ensure visibility and consistency across all systems. Initially you will work closely alongside the MD, presenting your initiatives and ensuring that they are aligned with the companies' visions and values.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Budgeting, planning, finance and business analysis;
- Developing strategies and initiatives for the improvement of operational efficiency;
- Engaging and developing key relationships;
- Managing logistical strategies for importing high volume bulky goods;
- Leading and maintaining a positive team environment of high performance through the sharing of knowledge and skills, inspirational leadership, motivation and mentoring.
To be considered for this position you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Proven strategic management and planning abilities;
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills along with a willingness to support the organisation's values;
- Vision, ambition and innovation;
- Experience of working in a similar industry and demonstrated ability in supply chain management;
- Relevant professional qualifications in finance, commerce or economics and/or an MBA are highly desirable.
