This opportunity is with a market-leading financial services organization with a large office in the Sydney CBD. This role sits firmly within the actuarial team responsible for valuation of policy liabilities, solvency, and capital within the company. You will work closely with the business to support the valuation system and advise the business on product, insurance, and financial risk. This opportunity is geared toward an actuarial analyst with a strong technical background and preference for technical roles. Responsibilities: - Maintain and develop valuation spreadsheets.
- Fix defects and enhance of current data system; documentation of code changes and unit testing.
- Run and maintain the Excel and Business Objects aggregation process for loading and reporting valuation results.
- Maintenance and support of actuarial systems; future planning/development as needed.
- Provide guidance to valuation teams with regard to the system and valuation spreadsheets.
- Support the risk management and internal controls within the actuarial area of the business.
- Liase with internal stakeholders regarding data integrity.
Essential Requirements - Mandatory: Demonstrated experience with Excel/VBA in a financial services environment.
- Mandatory: Microsoft Access and SQL skills.
- Mandatory: Academic Qualifications within Actuarial, Financial, or Mathematical disciplines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to comprehend complex financial and investment issues.
