You should be an experienced Plant / Management Accountant, with a background in the manufacturing sector (a Must).

The key responsibilities for this position are:

• Undertaking all aspects of Stock take within a strict time-frame
• All aspects of Plant/Management Accounting
• Assist Management Team in review of estimates, support data, and commercial factors in the process of recommending price levels
• Maximise Operating Profitability
• Investment Control
• Forecasting
• All aspects of costing
• Preparation and Control of Budgets
• Accounting and Information Systems
• Review all general ledger accounts monthly, taking corrective action where necessary to prove the correctness of the account
• Preparation of returns including Statutory accounting reports, fringe benefit tax, capital expenditure and ABS returns.
• Accurate weekly/monthly reporting and understand the 'story' behind the numbers
• Ensuring Tax compliances
• Auditing
• Taking responsibility of being 2IC from the Site Manager and thoroughly enjoy being 'across' the entire manufacturing process
• Have direct accountability for personnel in the Administration area

The key competencies for this role are:

• Two to three years experience in a manufacturing environment as a Plant / Management Accountant
• Exceptional spread sheeting and excel skills
• Microsoft Access experience is desirable
• Understand and complete all aspects of financial forecasting, stock take, profit maximization, month end reporting, product costing
• Experience producing various reports in a timely and accurate manner
• Experience reviewing plant performance indicators and providing appropriate advice on labour efficiency, material utilization, spending variances and all aspects of waste and non-value adding activities
