RAPID Solutions are the major insurance providers to the Timber Pest Management, Building Inspection, Urban and Agricultural Pest & Weed Control Industries. 

 

RAPID Solutions provides technical and training support to these industries in addition to its specialised insurance solutions. Due to maternity leave, we are now seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team for 12 months. This position will process accounting data for the entire RAPID Group and assist the Accountant and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide accurate reporting and account management functions. The Accounts Assistant is particularly responsible for processing accounts payable and receivable, general bookkeeping duties and the administration of credit card processing.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Prepare and issue invoices and statements to clients on time and accurately
  • Prepare and issue invoices and statements to other debtors on time and accurately
  • Follow up receivables if they remain unpaid for 14 days
  • Prepare and pay creditor accounts within specified time frame
  • Accounts payable and receivable are accurately reconciled
  • Accurately process credit card payments
  • Maintain the corporate credit card accounts
  • Oversee other staff processing
  • Prepare the necessary paperwork for daily banking needs
  • Ensure the daily banking is accurately reconciled
  • Accounting data is accurate and up-to-date in the companys accounting systems
  • Effectively manage the companys petty cash
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Prepare management reports when required

Ideally you will have:

  • Certificate III or IV in Accounting
  • Must be very good with numbers and calculations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good working knowledge of MYOB and Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook & Access
  • Background in office administration or bookkeeping
