Our client, a successful Civil Construction firm, are currently seeking a suitably experienced and skilled Financial Accountant to join their small friendly finance team.

Based out of the Central Coast facility this role encompasses many functional accounting areas within the business. The role will have direct liaison with the executive management team, operational managers, the finance team as well as project managers. It has significant accounting responsibilities incorporating (but not limited to) preparation of monthly accounting journals, general and subsidiary ledger maintenance, daily cash and accounts receivables management as well as process, procedural and systems improvement.

Our Ideal Candidate:
Will have proven financial accounting experience ideally within a large, complex and sophisticated Commercial environment. You will have well rounded accounting system exposure and have demonstrable experience operating in a projects type environment. You will possess exceptional MS Office and in particular, Excel skills. It is desirable that applicants possess relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, business or a related discipline. CPA and/or CA qualification will be viewed favourably.

Your success in this role will be determined by your ability to ensure both short term and long term outcomes are executed on time as well as by the relationships you develop with both internal and external personnel to achieve mutual goals. Additionally, you will need to motivate and assist individuals and teams towards shared goals and commitments, by using flexible and appropriate interpersonal styles. You will possess exceptional communication skills and be able to effectively engage with various internal and external organisational stakeholders.
Remuneration is negotiable based on applicant's qualifications, skills and experience.
